Hellooooo...I'm Carolyn!

Welcome to my creative world...

Hi, my name’s Carolyn and I’m an artist. You’ll often find me walking or just sitting here in my native Lincolnshire or further afield, taking in the scenery - gathering inspiration…which I use to create semi-abstract, expressive artworks.

I began this Substack publication because, although I love being an artist, I sometimes feel a little isolated; no-one nearby to show what I’ve been working on, or chat to about the latest materials…or a YouTube video that I liked - you get the idea!

And I realised that this feeling of isolation couldn’t only be confined to me; lots of you probably feel the same way. So, I decided I would share my thoughts and processes, my current work, my inspirations…and lots more besides. Hopefully, some of you will find it interesting too, and we can start conversations, swap ideas or recommendations - build a community of fellow creatives!

At the moment, I publish weekly. The posts are a mixture and can include any, or all of the following:
