I started following you on Substack after I watched all, and I do mean all, of your work on YouTube. I love that you read Robert MacFarlane, and struggle with art, and collect quotes like shiny stones on a woodland path. Thank you, Carolyn. Looking forward to what you do next.

I am so sorry that you are moving away from Substack, Carolyn - but we have to use the tools that work best for us. So I will look forward to reading your new emailed newsletter. (I'm just catching up with my Substack reading after losing Dad. So this afternoon I am going to enjoy reading all the posts you have written recently.)

Not sure you will still see my comment but I wish you all the best for your new adventures! Great idea to refocus and concentrate on local connections and your YT channel! Do you have any idea when the Lincoln exhibition would take place?

Hi Catherine, many thanks for your support, encouragement and understanding - I feel much better for having made the decisions...! The exhibition in Lincoln isn't until May 2026 - I thought I would give myself plenty of time to develop new work without pressure!! Hope you're having a fabulous time in Bath!! xx

Good plan to take more time for your painting and I wish you well. It’s always a joy to see what you’re up to, I just love the morning walk videos, that pink sunrise. Just wonderful, wish I could get up and out at that time! We have to make changes, and we need to do what’s right for us - that’s what you’re doing and it’s the right thing. Will see you monthly from now on!

Thank you for all the weekly posts - they have all been such a delightful read. I'll look especially forward to the once a month one. I'm glad for you, that you are taking back your time, and doing what matters to you - it's how it should be I think. I've had a blog for 17 years now and have waxed and waned with my posting but a few years ago settled In to once a week. It still surprises me how much time it takes but it has always helped me think things through. It's really just about finding our own way I think. Good luck with the move!

Thank you Jillayne! As you say, it's about finding what works for us as individuals - I felt I was being stretched trying to create different content for Substack, YouTube, blog and email....a bit much methinks!! And, as you say, it's surprising how much time it takes.... Many thanks for your support and kind words, and hopefully you'll enjoy the monthly newsletters as much!! Enjoy the weekend!!
