Hi Carolyn . I am new to your newsletter and Substack , but have been a subscriber on YT for a few months. Watching you create is very inspiring.

To answer your question , I would say that my goal is to paint, paint and paint again . As I started in my mid-50s only, I want to make the most of it and catch up on all that I missed not painting. I would also like to reach people with my paintings as it has been a solitary exercise so far.

Looking forward to reading your next newsletter and watching you on YT.

Francis

Hi Francis, thx for your comment. Lovely to hear that you enjoy my newsletters and YouTube videos, and find them inspiring! I know what you mean about finding creativity later on - and feeling that you have to make up for lost time! Equally, I relate to the fact that painting can be a solitary exercise, that's why it's great to build a community here, even if only virtually!! Keep painting! Best wishes, Carolyn

Hi Carolyn, I've followed you over from Instagram, always love your work. I am just about ready for the Form Falmouth Art fair, waiting for my new studio to be finished (complete saga!) and working myself up to actually posting on Substack once I have found my way round it properly!

Hi Kirsten, glad you found your way over here!! Good luck with the Falmouth Art fair! As for the studio - nothing is straightforward is it! I just keep telling myself that eventually, when I get a studio space, instead of squatting in my OHs home office, it will be worth it! And yes, still finding my feet here on Substack but decided to just post and work it out as I go along!

Hi Carolyn

Thanks for your newsletter.

Did you write that poem, the one you read out?

It is lovely!

I’m always glad to receive your letter, but admit I don’t really get Substack.

Best wishes

Susan x

Hi Susan, thx for your comment... No, I didn't write the poem that I read out - I couldn't find the author so it's just Anon... Have moved over to Substack as the previous newsletter platform was beginning to cost a lot per month. At the moment, Substack is free for me.... Kind regards, Carolyn
