Morning Carolyn, a lot of food for thought! And I was wondering, unless we donโ€™t like what we do anymore, why should we necessarily change directions...? We can explore other directions and come back to the one(s) we like. Why do we always have to get out of our comfort zones...?

Great to see your place! I also noticed the strap of your bag on the picture with the pink scooter is... pink ๐Ÿ˜‰

Love the colours you used in the Janette Phillips first trials! xxx

Morning to you too! For me, although I love the sepia/indigo landscapes etc, I was beginning to feel as if I was doing them by rote, that they were becoming a little stale. Sometimes it's just about a change of scenery, or perspective, or trying something new, stepping out of my comfort zone, just to freshen things up a bit. And I'm sure I will go back to those landscapes, but with renewed impetus!

Ha, yes, I noticed the pink strap - most unlike me to have colour! Promise I didn't plan to match the scooter - just a happy accident.

As for something new and inspiring; I've just spent the weekend up in Cumbria doing one of Janette's Watercolour Workshops. It was a birthday present from my OH - so lucky! It was fabulous to spend two whole days focussed on painting alongside Janette and a lovely group of other artists!! I'm looking forward to carrying on experimenting later this week! xx

Ha, I was so engrossed in the painting that I didn't take many photos, but I know Janette did so keep an eye out on her Instagram feed! Hopefully I will be there xx

Haha! Understandable!

If no work urgency, Iโ€™ll attend. This to say I enrolled and started first drawings during the weekend xx

Yes, it's a beautiful part of the country. My OH came with me for the weekend, and he was blessed with some wonderful sunny, if cold weather, so he enjoyed a couple of long walks...

Back then, it was in July or August, the 5 days were almost 5 full days of rain! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Oh yes, even in the height of summer you're never guaranteed to have wall to wall sunshine - that's why there's lots of lakes!!
