How exciting to have new plans, Carolyn. I totally 'get' why you would want to move from the cards and printed books. Sometimes we just have to evolve and do the things we enjoy. I do think I need to make a list of things that have improved my life though. That sounds like a good idea. As for books - I have physical books, a Kindle and I use Audible. In my opinion you can never have too much access to facts and stories. I do prefer my physical books though.
Thx Gillian - yes, as you evolve, things change, wants change, what you enjoy changes, as with the books and cards... Have fun with the list - it certainly focuses the mind on things you tend to overlook as being important. I can see the appeal of a Kindle when travelling but it's physical books for me every time... x
Excellent! Your list of actionable goals and Your list of small improvements are fantastic! I’m excited to see what you get up to with printmaking as well. Happy Autumn!
This sounds like a very sound plan and makes great sense. I make cards and small items and sometimes wonder if it is a way of "doing", a displacement activity, when it would be better to focus on bigger pieces. Joining a local print works sounds great too! Good luck with it all, it sounds like you are on the way!
Thx Deborah - I already feel better, just by making a 'baggy' plan (things are prone to change after all!) And yes, like you, the smaller items have been quite popular, but for where I want to go, they do take up a lot of time and effort, for a small return - and I would rather invest the time in the painting! Am looking forward to seeing how the printing develops too - so yes, going steadily onwards!!
