I love this time of year and I get that ‘clear seeing’ that you mention when I walk up on the moors here in Cornwall. There’s something about a vast, open landscape that draws me to it, and I particularly like the colours in autumn/winter season. Good luck with the declutter…it never lasts long for me! I often think I just need a bigger room, but in reality I just need less ‘stuff’! 💕

Thx Tanya - I love how we are all drawn to certain landscapes, that fill our creative wells - and for me, give me the space and peace. As for the de-cluttering, it's an ongoing process, but having had the experience of having to sort out my parents' bungalow, I'm determined not to leave such an immense job - my mother was a bit of a hoarder, 'you never know when that will come in handy' - for my children. That's the plan at any rate....xx

That was lovely, Carolyn. I do like a bit of Robert Frost. His poems are so evocative. I also identify with feeling in the doldrums re. marketing. So I'll have a look for a copy of Hannah Isted's book.

Thank you Gillian - yes, agree about the Frost poems! Ha, am slowly getting my head around her strategies - big sheet of paper, marker pen at the ready!! Can see a photo shoot of various things coming on so that I have a bank of them at the ready!!

I love the greyness of November and see it as the first steps into winter. I shall be visiting North Norfolk next month and this time of year is the best time to visit - your sketches capture it so well.

I have tried the Golden paints - do be careful that the top is securely on, as they are not as secure as the glass bottles, and once shaking one left a right old mess...I confess I still prefer Liquitex and the Daler as the colours seem less strident. I think mixing them would give much better results but I find it tricky. Have fun!

Thx for the restack Deborah! Yes, November certainly brings with it, its own aura doesn't it! Enjoy North Norfolk - I love it, the sense of space, being on the margins of sea, marsh and land...wonderful!! Many thanks for the tip about the Golden bottles - have been known to create a mess myself! Will see how I get on with them! x
