Thanks Carolyn - I feel deprived if I don’t get a good dog walk because of bad weather - been a lot of that lately. I have a lively puppy Suki the Sheltie, who loves to eat my shoes, gloves (5 pairs so far!) so needs to get out in the fresh air … love your honest musings - it’s just gone 4.30 am while I write this
I’m definitely a morning person … often waking at 4am then 6am alert to the day - I relish this quiet time to myself.
No one asking for something, intruding on my space and solitude, or making demands of me.
It’s my time for myself! Just me, my classical music, the birds singing, catching up on yesterday’s papers and relishing the warmth of my duvet or early dog walk by the River Wye.
But if I have to choose, I am a morning person because it's always amazing to discover the light appearing and also because I have slept and that I am more ready to catch the landscape around me
Hello Carolyn, sorry I’ve been a bit absent in here lately. I have the same feeling as you about mornings, that my day is kind of wasted if I get up late. And if I stay a bit in bed during the weekends (during the week I (still) have my full time job so I can’t), I’m reading which in fact is not a waste of time… I can wake up at 6.00 on a Sunday morning and then read until 8.00. Your photos are gorgeous!
Oh reading is never a waste of time!! One of aims for this year is to read more!! Hope all good with you. I'm definitely looking forward to spring, and hopefully some warmer weather!! xx

Thx Janine - yes I definitely feel like I am missing out if I don’t get a walk in - it has to be pretty bad weather to stop me!!

Am so with you Janine!! Early morning walk this morning around the fields of Lincolnshire, listening to the crows squabbling... Have a fab weekend!
I am both because I don't sleep very much.

I have to say that watching the light and the sunrise is best for me - so amazing seeing a new day dawn!

Yes to both; yes to all!
Ha… as I’ve grown older I’m trying to take every opportunity to cherish it all too!! 😊
I'm a morning person too and your thoughts resonate with me completely.
We'd definitely be in the same flock!! Glad you found the post interesting! Have a great weekend!
